Ever been on a really great dive? It is going really well and you don’t want it to end. But alas, you have almost reached you No-decompression limits. You have to end the dive. Wouldn’t it be great if you could extend your bottom time to give you that little bit longer? The PADI Enriched Air Diver course teaches you to use enriched air nitrox as your breathing gas, which can extend the no-decompression limits of your dive.

On the course which is predominantly classroom based, you will learn the theory; procedures and precautions to take when using enriched air nitrox. You will learn how to plan dives with enriched air nitrox using both tables and enriched air dive computers. Your PADI instructor will run over the theory with you with a DVD and a question and answer period, before reviewing your knowledge reviews and administering the final exam. You will then learn how to analyse an enriched air cylinder for gas content and how to prepare your tank for diving.

This course is a great option to have if you are looking to dive at some of the excellent local dive sites we have around Phuket, such as Anemone reef, Shark Point or the King Cruiser. It is an extremely popular rating used by those diving off the liveaboard boats in the Similans as it gives them time to appreciate further some of the world’s top dive sites.
