The dive sites around Phuket offer great venues for the Advanced Open Water course with specific dive sites catering well for meeting the dive requirements, such as the sunken passenger ferry, The King Cruiser, the beautiful structures of Anemone Reef and the leopard sharks at the aptly named Shark Point providing thrills for the divers on their courses.
A bonus point of the PADI Advanced Open water diver course is that you have done five different Adventure dives, If you choose to take the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver Course later on, then ANY of The PADI Adventure Dives you have done on this course will count as dive number one of the equivalent PADI Specialty Diver Course.
