The Night Diver course teaches you the procedures to safely dive at night. You will learn the organization, techniques and hazards of diving at night and the procedures for navigation, buoyancy control, and signalling. Remember you will be in the dark so you need to hone your skills to avoid problems when night diving. Other key aspects of the course will be learning to use a dive light and emergency procedures for disorientation situations. There will also be an introduction to nocturnal aquatic life.
Here on Phuket the PADI Night Diver specialty can be done over a couple of days off the local beaches on the island. On certain nights of the week it is also possible to go on night diver trips out to the local Phuket dive sites. The best place to do the night diver specialty is on the liveaboard trips to the Similan islands, where you will have the opportunity to complete the night specialty in a short period of time with top-notch night dives.
